Blank Gore Modifications

The blank gore modification is a rectangular cutout in the back panel.

This simple design was used by British paratroopers and sport parachutists in the 1950's.

Simple one blank gore

The Twin gore modification had a descent rate of about 18 fps.

Twin Gore
Two blank gores

The triple gore modification is attributed to Phill Miller. It had a hefty descent rate, more than 21 fps, and turned slowly.

Three blank gores called the Triple Gore.
